Travelling by car takes approx 1 hour from Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool.
Sat Nav can sometimes take people into Crickheath itself which is not where we are located so it is best to follow the instructions given.
From the A483 Oswestry: take the A483 towards Welshpool at Mile End roundabout just outside Oswestry. Stay on the road for just under 4 miles until you come to Llynclys Crossroads (large green road sign on your left, pub on your right). Turn left. Travel through the housing area and when you come to the first little crossroads (with a Chapel) take the turning right down Long Lane. From here follow individual site directions below.
From the A5 Shrewsbury: Stay on the A5 past Shrewsbury until you come to the Wolfshead roundabout at the end of the short section of dual carriageway. Take the 1st turning left for the B4396 signposted for Knockin. Travel through Knockin (looking out for the famous Knockin Shop) and stay on this road (do not fork right) for approx 2 miles. Go over the little bridge and after a further 3 miles take the 2nd turning left which is on the little crossroads, down the road named Long Lane. See site directions below.
A few hundred yards on your right you will come to a gate marked with the wild conTENTment logo. Open the gate and follow arrows to Pen Llwyn site.
Travel approx 1/2 mile down long lane, and pull into the drive at the farm house, New House Farm. We will direct you from the house to the site.
Carry on approx 1 mile down long lane from the crossroads until you come to a staggered junction. Turn right here, past the lorry yard, follow the road round to the right and over the little humped bridge. The gate to enter the field is directly infront of you, you will see the logo on the gate, you will also know you are in the right place as there will be a green bike lock on this gate. The site for camping is across the field on the left along the tall tree/hedge.
The nearest train station is Gobowen which is 10 km away. Shrewsbury is the next closest and is 16 miles.
The nearest public transport bus stops just a 5 minute walk from the farm on the A483.
