There is restoration work going on this summer to Schoolhouse bridge on LONG LANE. At the top of the road you will see ROAD CLOSED signs. You can ignore these and as you get to the road closure take the track on the RHS
.
From the A483 Oswestry: take the A483 towards Welshpool at Mile End roundabout just outside Oswestry. Stay on the road for just under 4 miles until you come to Llynclys Crossroads (large green road sign on your left, pub on your right). Turn left. Travel through the housing area and when you come to the first little crossroads (with a Chapel) take the turning right down Long Lane. Follow this road for about 1/2 mile to the crossroads and turn right. Pass the lorry hard on your right, follow the road to the right, go up over the bridge and you have arrived!
From the A5 Shrewsbury: Stay on the A5 past Shrewsbury until you come to the Wolfshead roundabout at the end of the short section of dual carriageway. Take the 1st turning left for the B4396 signposted for Knockin. Travel through Knockin (looking out for the famous Knockin Shop) and stay on this road (do not fork right) for approx 2 miles. Go over the little bridge and after a further 3 miles take the 2nd turning left which is on the little crossroads, down the road named Long Lane. See directions above.
